The JD Silvetti Group of Companies has teamed with St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital to raise funds for the continued operations of this
wonderful foundation. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was founded
in 1962 by Danny Thomas. Since the foundation’s inception, thousands of
children have been cured of cancer. Research has improved the survival
rates, in some types of cancer, from 4% in 1962 to 90% today!

Almost as miraculous as the increase in survival rates is the fact that no family has ever received a bill for their child's medical services! All treatment is provided absolutely free as well as the housing and support for the patient’s family. The entire foundation is supported through charity donations.

Most of us are lucky enough to only imagine what it must be like to have
a child who has been diagnosed with cancer. The fear of losing your child
coupled with finding a way to pay for very expensive treatment can only
be described as a horrific nightmare. The average cost of inpatient care
per day is just under $5,000.00!

The JD Silvetti Group of Companies sponsors the
“AIM FOR A CURE”
target skeet competition. The competition is held in the fall of each year
and serves as our primary fund raising event. The event brings experts
and novices from all walks of life to compete, eat and have fun!
The Lewis Scoring System ensures that not only does the “TOP GUN”
win a new shotgun, but so do the less skilled & beginners! Door prizes,
raffles and shooting games add to the excitement of the day!
